Spring 1998 – August 1999
Mr. D. Scott Hudgens, Jr. shared with Dr. James Lee Collins of Peachtree Christian Church, his dream of building a Hospice for the terminally ill in his beloved community of Gwinnett County.  Mr. Hudgens generously offered to fund the cost of building and also donated the property.

Dr. Collins and the people of Peachtree Christian Church agreed to sponsor the Hospice. Under the able leadership of Bill and Martha Todd and members of Peachtree Christian Church, the Hospice working committee was formed, later to become the PCH Board of Directors.

Following a nationwide search, United Hospice, now PruittHealth Hospice, was selected as the healthcare organization to assist in making Peachtree Christian Hospice a state-of the-art center expert in medical care and dedicated to our mission.
